As the Group Data function, in DBI we’re adding another aspect to our mission, push the boundaries of Agentic AI in Zurich to automate complex data-driven workflows across the organization.

This isn’t theoretical work. You’ll be shipping production-grade software that real teams depend on—from building reusable platform capabilities to implementing specific automation use cases that solve immediate business problems.

As an AI Solution Expert (Agentic AI) you will have the opportunity to:

Build Production Agentic AI Solutions

• Contribute to Zurich’s Agentic Analytics platform: core services, APIs, orchestration layers, and reusable components
• Design and deliver custom AI agent workflows that automate manual processes for data, analytics and business teams
• Own the full lifecycle: from understanding user needs and defining architectures to deployment, monitoring, and iteration
• Write clean, maintainable, production-quality code in Python

Drive Technical Excellence

• Establish testing, monitoring, and observability standards for AI agents (accuracy, reliability, performance)
• Design APIs and integrations that connect agents to Zurich’s business-critical systems
• Contribute to platform architecture decisions and technical standards as the team matures

Collaborate and Deliver

• Work with Product Managers, AI Analysts, and Solution Architects to scope and deliver use cases
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate Agentic AI solutions into existing workflows
• Communicate technical trade-offs and solution designs clearly to stakeholders

Grow the Team’s Capabilities

• Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers as we scale the team
• Help define how we work: processes, tools, best practices, and quality standards
• Stay current with Agentic AI developments and bring new ideas to the table

What you bring

Must haves

• 5+ years building enterprise production systems – you’ve shipped software that real users depend on
• Expert Python knowledge – Pydantic, FastAPI, and modern frameworks are second nature
• Strong SQL skills – you understand data, not just code
• Production delivery experience – CI/CD, testing, monitoring, deployment, and all the unglamorous stuff that makes software reliable
• Software architecture mindset – you design systems that scale, evolve, and don’t fall apart under pressure
• Communication skills – you can explain technical decisions to engineers and non-engineers alike
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Strongly preferred

• Data engineering experience – worked with modern data stack technologies like Databricks or Snowflake
• Understanding of data science concepts – you don’t need to be an ML expert, but you understand embeddings, vector search, and how models work
• Some exposure to LLMs or AI agents – you’ve experimented, prototyped, or built something with LlamaIndex, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar tools

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud platforms: Azure (AKS, DevOps, Monitor), AWS, or GCP
• Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes
• API design: Building robust REST APIs
• MongoDB (especially Atlas with vector embeddings)
• Monitoring & observability: LangFuse or similar tools
• Model Context Protocol (MCP): Emerging standard for AI agent tool orchestration
• Responsible AI practices and governance frameworks
