An international financial services firm in Madrid is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax documentation. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a Fiduciary or Financial Services environment, holding a degree in Accounting or Business Administration. Strong presentation skills and fluent English are necessary to communicate effectively with clients. This role also involves preparing regulatory reports, bank reconciliations, and annual accounts.

Formación

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a client portfolio and full accounting lifecycle.
  • Fluent English (B2/C1) for effective communication with clients.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

For its Madrid based office, our client, an international Financial Services structure, is currently looking for a :

Accountant – experience in a Fiduciary or Financial Services environment (m / f)

The role covers bookkeeping, issuing invoices, bank reconciliations, preparing tax filings (including SII), and preparing annual accounts.

Responsibilities include preparing financial reports for clients—cash flow, payments, financial statements, and tax position—as well as regulatory reporting. The role also provides audit support, prepares tax documentation for submission, and delivers periodic client reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and annual accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Accounting, reporting, and preparing and issuing invoices for multiple companies.
  • Bank reconciliations, preparation and submission of tax returns and SII, and preparation and review of annual accounts.
  • Preparing all types of accounts, payments, cash flow, reports, financial statements, cash position, and tax position for client companies.
  • Preparing regulatory reports for third parties.
  • Bookkeeping, including accounting entries and related supporting documentation.
  • Assisting with audits by providing relevant information.
  • Obtaining accounting data for tax filings and preparing submission files for the STA.
  • Supporting clients with financial reporting, such as periodic balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and annual accounts.
Profile
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience managing a client portfolio as well as full accounting lifecycle experience within the Spanish framework
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Fluent English (B2 / C1) to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects / tasks, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
  • Proactive approach to daily tasks and strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Interest in working with different cultures.
