Job Summary:
Advanced Health Institute is seeking a reliable and organized Medical Scheduler to coordinate patient appointments and ensure efficient scheduling across our healthcare services. The Medical Scheduler will serve as the first point of contact for patients, handling appointment requests, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate schedules for providers. This role is vital to ensuring patients receive timely care and that daily operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer inbound calls and assist patients with scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments.
• Coordinate provider schedules and maximize clinic efficiency while minimizing wait times.
• Verify and update patient demographics, insurance, and referral information.
• Confirm upcoming appointments and send reminders to patients.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to address scheduling conflicts.
• Document all scheduling activities accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Provide patients with instructions and information regarding appointments, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Handle urgent and same-day appointment requests with professionalism and efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in medical administration preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare scheduling, receptionist, or medical office role strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and insurance verification.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments.

Work Environment:
