SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES :

• Act as Managing Director for selected entities.
• Lead all laboratories in Europe dedicated to Medical Device Services - with sites across Germany Italy Spain and the Netherlands.
• Be accountable for the consolidated P&L.
• Drive both organic and inorganic growth.

POSITION & OBJECTIVES :

• Lead and manage all Business Unit Managers in the Testing field across Europe.
• Foster an environment which stimulates open communication creativity and imagination and engenders a team spirit towards problem-solving and identifying & capturing new business opportunities.
• Support the local teams to prepare and propose an annual budget and three-year mid-term plan. Report any deviations from agreed upon results and work closely with financial controlling.

• Define and execute strategic plans and budgets to growthe European Testing Cluster.
• Lead M&A initiatives : integrate acquired companies collaborate with corporate teams and contribute to the overall M&A strategy.
• Work closely with BU leadership to shape business strategies covering service and product portfolios sales production sourcing and IT solutions.
• Partner with key functional leaders on competitive strategy cost reduction test portfolio development and new business opportunities.
• Create compelling value propositions to support revenue growth and strengthen customer loyalty.
• Participate in key account and relationship management activities as needed.
• Coordinate with other European testing sites and the National Service Centre to foster collaboration and operational synergies.
• Ensure that cross-selling synergies with other Eurofins sites in Europe are being further developed.
• Development of the technical / administrative orientation.

• Develop and optimize new and existing laboratories (greenfield & brownfield) ensuring technical and administrative excellence.
• Harmonize and enhance service delivery across all testing units to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Be responsible for profitable growth of the business continuous process improvement and change management.
• Drive integration into Eurofins corporate structures.
• Manage / coordinate the implementation of new manufacturing processes / technologies.
• Improve operational efficiency of operations. Streamline operational processes and leverage IT to achieve high efficiency.
• Ensure Group system policies and processes are adhered to across the Business Line under your responsibility.
• Guarantee and control that all relevant legal and health & safety requirements are being adhered to in the Business Unit(s) under your direct or indirect responsibility that the GMP approvals are being maintained and regularly expanded and that all employees act according to Eurofins values.
• Improve the technical and scientific capabilities and capacity of the Business Units by ensuring the appropriate development and application of new techniques and business processes.
• Present the company at audits trade fairs and customer visits.
• Oversee building activities.

• Motivate retain develop and recruit excellent leaders for each of your Business Units and sub-Business Units.
• Define and agree goals and milestones with team leaders and ensure goals are communicated to their respective teams. Set up Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress. Follow up as appropriate and be hands-on if required.
• Implement strong performance management and team development processes in line with Group recommendations and using Group tools when available.
• Assess current talent and ensure that there is a highly committed and capable management team in place and that these leaders are coaching and mentoring potential successors and incumbents and / or bringing in additional talent as needed.

• Subject matter expertise preferably in Medical Device testing or in Chemical Testing Microbiological Testing In Vitro Testing or Toxicological Testing.
• Proven experience in turning around businesses.
• Strong understanding of lab business profitability drivers.
• International leadership experience including remote team management and cross-border collaboration.

• Degree in engineering or scientific discipline.
