The position can be filled in full or part time.

Summary

For the area “Governmental Business Development Germany ‘ we are looking for a ’Governmental Business Development Manager Naval Solutions Germany (f/m/d)” for the HENSOLDT Group with a focus on the German Armed Forces / German Navy with a workplace in Ulm, Berlin, Hamburg, Koblenz or Kiel.

The “Governmental Business Development Germany” department is responsible for identifying and qualifying potential strategic procurement projects for the German Armed Forces. We work closely with all relevant institutional organizations and departments and develop an addressable product portfolio together with the divisions of the HENSOLDT Group.

Your Tasks

  • Participation in the planning of incoming orders of the business units for the institutional customer Bundeswehr

  • Management of sales campaigns and responsibility for incoming orders in close cooperation with the business units of the HENSOLDT Group

  • Network development and maintenance in the German Navy, the BMVg and subordinate departments (Planning Office, BAAINBw)

  • Evaluation of conceptual, planning and technological ideas of the Bundeswehr and derivation of recommendations for action for the divisions of the HENSOLDT Group and the management

  • Identification and qualification of upcoming procurement projects of the German Navy

  • Contributing to the preparation of analyses of the market and competitive situation in Germany

  • Contribution to the preparation of the management for meetings with high-ranking representatives from politics and the military

Willingness to undertake national business trips is a prerequisite.

Your Profile

  • Completed technical studies or business studies with a high technical affinity or comparable

  • At least five years of professional experience including experience in sales, account management or business development

  • Ideally a career as an officer in the German Navy

  • Very good market knowledge of the international defense industry

  • Good knowledge of the Bundeswehr procurement process as well as the organizational and operational structure of the Bundeswehr

  • Good understanding of the operational requirements of the German Navy

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, persuasion and conflict resolution skills

  • Business fluent in German and English
