About the position:

In this role, you’ll be a key member of the Platform team, which manages our internal development and hosting platform. This team works closely with all development teams and the compliance department, fostering collaboration across the organization.
The Platform team manages and develops the internal platform for all Qwist products across multiple Kubernetes clusters and cloud providers including bare-metal private clouds.

This position follows a hybrid work model and requires three days per week in the office. We have two locations in Germany: one in Munich, and our headquarters in Berlin. The whole company comes together once a year to celebrate our successes together.

• Help to drive our multi-cluster, hybrid-cloud setup forward
• Design and operate a modern Kubernetes infrastructure with a "Security First" approach
• Design and implement automated processes for CI/CD, deployments, etc.
• Put security and resilience of the system to the test
• Collaborate with fellow engineers from the development teams
• Deliver quality code in an efficient manner
• Add new features and functionality to the internal development platform

• You have demonstrated profound experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure
• You understand and live agile workflows and lean principles
• You are a proactive peer and support the growth of your team
• You are a curious, constant learner and share your learnings with others
• You know how to keep a work-life balance
• You communicate well in written and verbal English

• Working experience in at least one modern programming language (Java, C#, Golang, Rust)
• Experience with at least one NoSQL and one SQL database (like MongoDB or CockroachDB)
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD
• Experience with Grafana + Prometheus Stack, EFK Stack
• Experience in working with distributed systems
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or another IaaC tool
• Experience with Storage Systems (e.g., CEPH, GlusterFS, ...)
• Experience with the Event Sourcing Architecture style
