Jobbeschreibung
What You Will Do

We’re building AI automation tools for engineers who design aircraft, cars, and complex mechanical systems. These users don’t tolerate vague solutions, ambiguity frustrates them, and they need tools that actually work under pressure.

If you’re the kind of designer who thrives when requirements are fuzzy, who can sketch a solution on a whiteboard and ship it at high fidelity two weeks later, and who wants to own design end‑to‑end in a fast‑moving product team – keep reading.

As one of three Synera UI/UX designers, you’ll own the entire design process for a core product area within the Agentic Ants, our Agentic AI product team consisting of PM, tech lead, yourself, and three more developers and AI engineers. You’ll be the design voice in a tightly‑knit product trio with your product manager and tech lead.

Your Responsibilities Span The Full Design Cycle
  • 🔎 Discovery & Research – You engage directly with engineers from aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing to uncover real problems. You’ll conduct user interviews, test assumptions, map complex and often quite technical user journeys, and translate engineering workflows into design opportunities.
  • ✨ Concepts & Information architecture – You facilitate design sessions with your team, define interaction patterns, and structure information for our product that uses visual programming, to handle multi‑agent AI systems and engineering simulation workflows. You organize complexity, not just interface elements.
  • 🎨 Visual Design & High‑Fidelity Execution – You take concepts from rough sketches to polished, production‑ready designs in Figma. We need someone who excels at designing interfaces, not just boxes and arrows. Clean hierarchy, thoughtful typography, cohesive visual style and iconography. You should be able to pick up a pencil and properly sketch an idea, then execute it at high fidelity.
  • 🤝 Collaboration & Iteration – You work directly with developers during implementation, adapt designs as technical constraints emerge, and refine based on real user feedback. You’re in everyday standups, sprint plannings, in the thick of it.
  • 🤔 Ambiguity & Autonomy – AI product development moves fast and pivots often. You won’t always have clear requirements. You’ll need to make design decisions independently, advocate for users when priorities conflict, and shape product direction through design thinking and without perfect briefs.
What’s in it for you?
  • You’ll be shaping how engineers interact with AI automation at a time when these tools are fundamentally changing how products get designed and manufactured.
  • Your work will directly impact real users building real things: aircraft parts, automotive components, industrial equipment.
  • Enjoy true flexibility: work when and where it suits you, and swap public holidays to match your own values and beliefs (as long as you have residency in Germany).
  • Get home‑office setup support + access to our office in Bremen.
  • Use your personal development budget of €2,000 to attend conferences and trainings or buy interesting books to improve in an area of your choice.
  • We don’t count your vacation days, as we trust all our team members to decide what’s best for them and the company.
  • To support your personal and professional well‑being, we offer company fitness with Wellpass and mental health platform nilo.
  • Join our regular team events, virtual coffee breaks, and spontaneous afterworks. We also get together as a whole company for 2‑3 day off‑sites twice a year! 🌈
What You Need To Succeed
  • You have 4+ years of hands‑on UI/UX design experience in B2B SaaS, ideally enterprise products with complex workflows.
  • You have proven track record of end‑to‑end design ownership, from discovery research through shipped product.
  • You have strong visual design skills: You have a sharp eye for layout, typography, color, and can demonstrate polished UI work in your portfolio.
  • You have Figma proficiency at a level where you’re pushing the tool’s limits, not learning basics.
  • You have experience working in product trios or closely embedded with PMs and engineers in agile/iterative environments.
  • You can manage ambiguity: You’ve worked in early‑stage products, pivots, or fast‑moving teams where you had to define the path forward.
  • Your excellent English skill helps you to work in an international environment.
Bonus Points – Cherry On Top 🍰
  • You perhaps have experience designing for technical users (developers, engineers, data scientists).
  • You are familiar with complex design systems or component libraries.
  • You have a background in visual programming tools, no‑code/low‑code platforms, or workflow automation.
  • You have an understanding of AI/ML product patterns (agentic systems, prompt interfaces, etc.).
  • You're living in Bremen or are willing to move here. We’re a remote company – however we found that for crucial roles like UX the collaboration just works so much better in person.

Synera is a place where everyone can grow and every voice is valued. So, however you identify yourself and whatever background you have, if this role excites you, please apply with your English CV (no photo and birth date needed :)) and portfolio. Tell us how your unique perspective will benefit our Design team.
