(From Co-Pilot) DIC Corporation is a global leading producer for Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) with its well-known brands DIC.PPS and Primef, used on a broad basis for demanding applications in automotive, E&E and drinking water and food applications. Join our team as Technician (m/f/d) at our site in Karlstein close to Frankfurt am Main and support our highly motivated and successful team dedicated to high performance plastic materials. This role involves providing technical support to both the sales department and the manufacturing plant for our engineering plastic materials DIC.PPS and Primef. Additionally, the Technician will conduct experimental studies to support product developments assigned by DIC Japan. This includes tasks such as minor modifications of products and researching alternative raw materials. Other responsibilities are:
* Sampling / molding trials for customers and at customer sites on a European basis
* Material proposals based on customer requirement lists
* Support of Sales Team in Customer Meetings in technical issues (moved up)
* Communication with the Central Lab in Japan (moved up)
* Production of product samples (moved down)
* Implementation of test procedures to measure physical and chemical properties
* Management and evaluation of test results
* Maintenance of injection moulding machine and extruder
* Purchase of consumables
* Studies as a Plastics engineer or similar experience, such as training as a toolmaker or general experience in the plastics and processing sector
* Ability to work independently and autonomously
* Strong team and communication skills
* Good knowledge of MS Office and preferably SAP
* Fluent in German and English
* Willingness to travel
