Your mission: elevate an already high-performing team that powers core services such as wealth management, market making, risk management, and regulation. You will lead a focused team of five, fostering a strong culture and promoting independence.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong experience with our tech stack, especially Python.
• Proficiency in AWS services, serverless architecture, and system design.
• Deep understanding of various databases.
• People management skills and a commitment to team development.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a team of Python backend engineers to deliver innovative services.
• Design and develop new platforms using modern practices like agile, test automation, and cloud infrastructure.
• Maintain and improve legacy systems, ensuring progress and meaningful updates.
• Choose appropriate tools for data storage, processing, and visualization.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with a focus on clarity.
• Align engineering efforts with business goals.
• Foster teamwork, open communication, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to creating next-generation wealth management and brokerage services.

Tech stack includes Python, DevOps, Docker, CI/CD, Terraform, AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS, Step Functions, Aurora, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena), and event-based architectures.

Minimum requirements:

• 5+ years of Python backend experience
• Leadership experience that emphasizes culture
• Hands-on AWS experience
• Experience with Docker, Git, RESTful APIs
• Strong knowledge in data-driven business applications
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Proactive, collaborative, and good time management
