In our team in Reutlingen, we are looking forward to your support as a Technical Project Manager.
Key tasks / Key responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in product and process development.
- Collaborate with research institutes and external partners to advance technical capabilities.
- Generate and protect intellectual property (IP) by proposing and demonstrating new ideas and concepts.
- Inspire and motivate team members across functions and locations.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication across departments.
- Proactively escalate risks and issues to management for timely resolution.
Technical Project Management
- Take full ownership of technical project management from concept phase to mass production.
- Identify and manage technical interdependencies and risks.
- Oversee sensor design work packages and lead use-case development.
- Maintain project documentation and conduct regular process reviews.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
- Align with Marketing & Sales teams (automotive and consumer segments) on requirements and priorities.
- Lead regular status reviews and ensure project progress is clearly communicated.
- Act as a key interface to external research institutes, partners, and suppliers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B.Sc./M.Sc. or B.Eng.) in Engineering or a related field plus professional experience.
- PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in both English and German (minimum C-level proficiency).
- Proven experience in technical project management.
- A hands-on, proactive approach to solving technical challenges.
- Background in gas sensor technology is an advantage.
- Experience in full product development lifecycle, from proof of principle to high-volume production.
- Automotive industry experience is a strong plus.
