With leading positions in many European markets, Gardena Handtools covers products for cutting, stick-tools as well as garden accessories used in the domestic gardens. As Team-lead (m/w/d) Product Management Handtools, you and the team will drive the product-portofolio strategy for the Business Unit Handtools. You will lead a team of talented product managers, ensuring that our products meet market/channel needs and exceed customer expectations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a good mix of Product and Go to market passion, exceptional leadership skills and a track record of successful international product launches.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product managers to achieve their full potential and deliver outstanding results.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the BU Handtools vision and goals.
• Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
• Portfolio management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch till phase out, covering all our country and channel requirements.
• Creation of business and product generation plans for strategic at country and channel level.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, brand and sales, operations, to ensure alignment and successful product execution.
• Consumer Focus: Advocate for the customer by incorporating feedback and insights into product enhancements and new features.
• Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success from a topline but as well profitability point of view,
• Drive continuous process improvement, to free up time on what really matters.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: Several working experience in product management in durable goods and/or FMCG. In addition to that several working experience in a leadership role is a must.
• Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, international experience and proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with product management tools and methodologies, on pricing, new product development
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex problems, driving innovative solutions.
• Consumer-Centric: Passion for understanding and meeting customer needs and delivering exceptional user experiences.
• Languages skills: Business fluent in German and English bonus would be French
• Willingness to travel to our markets or visiting our factories/suppliers.
