Join suena energy as our first Talent Acquisition Manager (f/m/x) and build up our recruiting & employer branding functions from scratch.

suena energy is a green tech startup from Hamburg specializing in algorithmic energy trading for battery storage systems and renewables.

Our vision

a world where clean energy is used reliably, economically, and intelligently. With our AI‑based optimization and trading software, we maximize the revenues of operators of large‑scale energy storage and renewables on short‑term electricity and balancing markets – while minimizing risks.

We are a team of 38 people, combining a warm, supportive team culture with true startup drive. Following our successful Series A, we’re expanding our team and now building up our in‑house talent acquisition function.

Since July, we’ve had the support of a freelance Talent Partner who has already set up some initial structures – so you won’t be starting from zero, but will have a solid foundation to build and scale on.

Please note: This position is fixed‑term for one year and may be extended depending on business needs.

Your mission
  • Set up and manage our end‑to‑end talent acquisition across commercial, finance, trading and tech roles, hiring for multiple positions at once.
  • Identify the right channels, design sourcing and social recruiting strategies and establish a modern, effective talent acquisition approach for suena.
  • Transform our hiring needs and headcount plan into a concrete, prioritized recruiting roadmap for the year – anticipating churn and business needs.
  • Shape every step of the candidate experience transparent, engaging, and true to our culture.
  • Partner with hiring managers, define roles together, structure the process, ensure clear and unbiased decision‑making, and introduce best practices.
  • Establish KPIs and improve how we hire.
  • Work with Marketing to tell our story and attract top talent through Employer Branding.
  • Collaborate with People Ops for a seamless start and smooth onboarding.
Your profile
  • You have a proven track record of successfully recruiting in tech‑driven, dynamic environments, hiring for a broad range of roles.
  • You are organized and proactive, translating headcount and workforce plans into actionable, prioritized recruiting roadmaps.
  • You are able to build and scale recruiting processes from scratch, working independently and handling multiple priorities at once.
  • You are methodical and quality‑driven, skilled in structured interviews, diagnostics/aptitude assessments and bias reduction in decision‑making.
  • You are empathetic and candidate‑centric, ensuring every applicant experiences respect, appreciation and transparent communication throughout the process.
  • You are confident, open and collaborative – enabling you to partner effectively with hiring managers, guide role definition and drive clear, structured, and unbiased processes.
  • You are fluent in English (C1 level); German is a plus.
