Beginn

Your Role:

The Sourcing Manager - Chemicals / Contract Manufacturing – Susonity with a focus on Cosmetic Actives is a member of the international Susonity Sourcing Team and reports to the Head of Sourcing - Susonity in Germany. The successful candidate will oversee the 3rd party direct spend and category management for Susonity Germay as well as for select international sourcing projects and categories. This position requires close collaboration with product management, operations, supply chain and R&D functions to ensure that sourcing strategies are developed and implemented in alignment with Susonity Sourcing goals.This Sourcing Manager Chemical and Contract Manufacturing is responsible for developing and implementing supply strategies and projects to deliver financial savings, ensuring supply security and improving on sustainability.

Location is Darmstadt or Gernsheim.

You will further be responsible for:

• Managing the sourcing categories for Susonity with a focus on Cosmetic Actives and contract Manufacturing and select international categories/products/projects.
• Managing supplier and stakeholder relationships for Susonity globally.
• Driving supplier management activities such as negotiating, awarding, and contracting; accompanying supplier qualifications, supplier audits; conducting supplier business reviews and performance evaluations.
• Collaborating and coordinating with local & global internal functions to understand and manage the demand, clarify specifications and business needs to maximize the potential outcome for Susonity.
• Driving and contributing to procurement transformation projects with full accountability to strengthen sourcing at Susonity.
• Support implementing new processes and a new ERP tool

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or operations management or other related discipline or equivalent experience and knowledge in lieu of education.
• 5+ years’ experience in direct sourcing of chemicals or in materials businesses, supply chain or commercial business environment.
• 20% Domestic and International travel required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Results oriented and experienced in collaborating internationally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional negotiation and contracting skills, considerate of legal and regulatory requirements.
• Independent problem solving/decision making and the ability to handle multiple, opposing priorities.
• Willingness to travel abroad mainly to Asia.
• Experience in the cosmetics/contract manufacturing business.
• Solid understanding of purchasing processes and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
