Freelance Project Manager – PV & Solar

Location: Berlin or Munich (HQ)

Workload: Full-time, ~40 hours / week

On-Site Requirement: 3 days / week on site, 2 days remote

A leading renewable‑energy developer is seeking experienced Freelance Project Managers to support large‑scale PV and solar infrastructure projects across Germany. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams, and can drive complex construction or public‑sector‑related projects to successful completion.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate PV / solar project phases from planning to commissioning
• Manage stakeholders including municipalities, public institutions, contractors, and engineering partners
• Oversee timelines, budgets, risk assessment, and compliance with German standards
• Conduct regular on‑site visits (minimum 3 days per week) to ensure smooth execution
• Prepare documentation, reports, and technical evaluations
• Ensure seamless communication across all project participants

Your Profile

• C1 or higher German language level (must‑have)
• Proven experience in public sector projects; alternatively strong background in construction or engineering project management
• Previous experience with PV / solar projects is a plus
• Strong understanding of German regulatory processes
• Valid driving licence (required due to site visits)
• Structured, proactive working style with strong communication skills
• Freelance availability, able to commit to ~40 hours per week
