Responsibilities

Peraton requires Network Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3. This position is located in Stuttgart Germany and requires TESA approval.

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM its Component Commands its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration change license and asset management; conduct training and perform Install Move Add Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM the CIO / J6 organization and ultimately the end‑user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

The Network Engineer performs Tier three network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. The Network Engineer must be detail‑oriented and have in‑depth knowledge of networking hardware and software.

• Providing comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services
• Interfacing with O&M personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects as directed
• Comprehensively reviewing existing architectures on a regular basis recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required
• Establishing systems engineering with a focus on the end‑to‑end functionality of complex systems
• Establishing service integration database structure management active directory services / DNS and Thin / zero client
• Providing data storage with expertise in SANs technologies NAS technologies iSCSI and DAS
• Establishing portal / web services with expertise in the design of medium to large enterprise farms geographical replication interfacing with external data sources and integration of third‑party add‑ons
• Monitoring PKI / certificate authority
• Providing CRM
• Performing disaster recovery and backup / restore
• Supporting efforts for cybersecurity technology risks identification and risk mitigation strategies related to cybersecurity and A&A support documentation in accordance with applicable DoD and IC directives
• Maintaining LAN WAN and VoIP infrastructures voice and data network systems advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers multilayer switches network security devices and network management systems
• Establishing SATCOM with an emphasis on IP satellite
• Providing support with Wireless networking Application delivery networking Cloud computing Mobile computing End Point management and desktop computing
• Providing Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) or other NSA Capabilities Package
• Engineering enterprise data voice and video networks
• Establishing and operating network test facilities
• Maintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks
• Working with vendors the Government carriers and technical staff on network implementation optimization and ongoing management
• Providing high‑level support and technical expertise in networking technology including LAN / WAN hardware switches bridges and routers

Desired experience and proficiency

• Engineer and lead enterprise data In‑Line Encryption (INE) device voice and video networks
• Collaborate with vendors the Government carriers and technical staff on network implementation optimization and ongoing management
• Providing high‑level support and technical expertise in networking technology including LAN hardware switches bridges and routers
• Lead technical teams that integrating new technology into the existing operational environment
• Advise senior government staff on industry best practices and provide policy recommendations to implement those practices
• Project Management IRT Network infrastructure
• Maintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks
• Experience in SIPR NIPR SOCRATES and BICES enclaves
• Experience supporting SOF and Senior Leaders

Target Salary Range

$86000 - $138000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
