Your Tasks
  • You will ensure the timely processing of worldwide shipments in compliance with legal regulations and contractual requirements
  • Assumption of the role of customs officer
  • Independent processing and monitoring of all imports and exports (including in accordance with authorisations and inward/outward processing)
  • Ensuring compliance with all foreign trade and customs regulations (including preference calculations)
  • Preparing, checking and archiving customs-related documents
  • Monitoring/supplementing existing authorisations and their renewals
  • Communicating with authorities, freight forwarders, customers and internal departments
  • Intrastat reports (determining the activities required for Intrastat and implementing incoming and outgoing reports)
  • Price negotiations for freight forwarding services in consultation with superiors/purchasing
  • Optimisation of existing export processes and advising specialist departments on export and customs issues
Your Qualifications
  • Completed commercial training
  • Several years of professional experience in import & export/customs, preferably as a customs agent
  • In-depth knowledge of customs law, export control and preferential law
  • Very good written and spoken German and English, other foreign languages an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office, experience with ERP systems/customs tools (SAP, Atlas, Dakosy) is an advantage
  • Analytical thinking and structured working style
  • Strong sense of responsibility, strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
