Redstone Commodity Search is working with an international trading house that is looking to bring on board a Senior Steel‑making Raw Materials Trader to enable them to expand into the EU/UK markets, based in London. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial professional with a self‑starter mindset, taking full ownership of the P&L for their traded commodity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute trading strategies for steel‑making raw materials, identifying and expanding new markets across suppliers and buyers.
• Structure and negotiate trade contracts to optimise commercial outcomes.
• Manage risk exposure across the full trade cycle, ensuring profitability and financial security.
• Oversee derivative position management, leveraging deep knowledge of commodity markets.
• Conduct market analysis to drive business growth and enhance trading performance.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a front‑end trader in steel‑making raw materials: iron ore, DRI, pig iron, coking coal, thermal coal, met coke, and related commodities, with a strong industry network / transferable book.
• Proven ability to originate and execute high‑value trades.
• Expertise in risk management and financial exposure mitigation.
• Strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of price trends and market dynamics.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
