Job Description:

• You work on our unified hardware abstraction layer for several types of complex robots.
• You drive improvements in our distributed controller architecture to ensure precise and synchronized movements across our robotic systems.
• You design and implement a highly automated testing framework for low-level software, ensuring robustness and reliability in production environments.
• You tackle complex hardware error handling, including the development of automatic recovery mechanisms.
• You build comprehensive logging and analysis tools to effectively debug issues faced by robots in the field, ensuring seamless operations and continuous improvement.

Your profile

• At least 5years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong background in robotics and hardware-software integration.
• You convince with your strong modern C++. Solid Python programming skills is aplus.
• You have a strong understanding of control loops, kinematics, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• You have solid experience in designing and improving complex software systems with a focus on hardware interactions and real-time requirements.
• Ideally, you also have experiencewith ROS1/2, Embedded / real-time C++ development, Field buses like CANopen.
• You are able to structure your work, manage dependencies to other teams and remove impediments on theroad.
• You pick up tasks that need to be done and go the extramile
• You are open to receiving and giving constructive feedback
• You are an excellent communicator with the ability to convey complex technical concepts across teams and stakeholders.
• You are fluent in English
