About the Role :

We are looking for a Python Backend Engineer (m / f / d) to join our Software Engineering Team and contribute to the development of innovative digital solutions, including our AI assistant built on the Rasa framework. Our environment is based on a microservice architecture deployed in the cloud.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend web services that power our AI-driven products and internal platforms. Your solid experience in Python‑based backend systems, combined with an interest in Artificial Intelligence and NLP, will help shape the next generation of intelligent digital solutions at Redcare Pharmacy.

About the tech stack : Python, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, CI / CD pipelines, Google Cloud Platform, RabbitMQ, REST / GraphQL APIs, Kibana, Grafana.

About your tasks :

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend web services in Python.
• Implement and integrate microservices within our cloud infrastructure.
• Support the development of our AI assistant by collaborating with data scientists and engineers on NLP‑related features.
• Ensure reliability and performance through testing, CI / CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, maintainable, and high‑quality software.
• Stay curious about AI technologies and explore ways to apply them to real‑world problems.

About you :

• Strong Python development skills, with solid experience in backend web services and microservice architectures.
• Expertise in building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Proven experience with web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, or Django), caching technologies (e.g., Redis), and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, Celery).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI / CD and best practices for software delivery. Experience working with Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript and frontend integration.
• Genuine enthusiasm for Artificial Intelligence and its practical applications in backend systems.
• Proactive, autonomous mindset with ownership and accountability.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required to collaborate effectively in an international environment.
