Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Act as a strategic adviser to line managers and leadership, providing expert guidance on all aspects of Human Resources.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence and HR Business Partners globally to implement effective people strategies aligned with VIAVI's objectives and goals.
  • Support and collaborate with leaders on employee relations, performance management, recruitment and retention, talent development, compensation reviews, and training programs.
  • Provide guidance on employment law compliance issues related to organizational changes, disciplinary procedures, and liaise with legal advisors as needed.
  • Collaborate on leadership development activities, including coaching and mentoring.
  • Partner with recruiting teams to ensure a seamless recruitment process.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
  • Review policies and procedures proactively to ensure compliance with local labor laws.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
  • Experience in a global multinational and matrixed environment, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Strong knowledge of German employment laws and regulations, with practical application experience. Knowledge of employment laws in other countries as well.
  • Experience with M&A, especially integration processes.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to handle complex, confidential situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Sound judgment based on analysis of facts and circumstances.
  • Comfortable presenting to all organizational levels.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • High integrity and discretion.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree is preferred, along with experience as an HR Business Partner and managing a team.
  • Working knowledge of Workday is highly desirable.
