Zusammenfassung

In dieser Funktion sind Sie für die rechtliche Unterstützung der Softwareabteilung verantwortlich und bieten rechtliche Beratung zu Vertragsfragen, Softwarelizenzierung sowie sonstigen rechtlichen Angelegenheiten. Ideale Kandidaten haben einen Masterabschluss in Recht, mindestens fünf Jahre Erfahrung und fortgeschrittene Kenntnisse in der Softwarelizenzierung. Qualifikationen

  • Mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung in einer Anwaltskanzlei oder in einer internationalen Unternehmensumgebung.
  • Erfahrung mit SaaS-Verträgen und allgemeinen Dienstleistungsvereinbarungen.
  • Starke Problemlösungsfähigkeiten mit der Fähigkeit, autonom und proaktiv zu arbeiten.

Aufgaben

Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten

(Senior) Legal Counsel reporting to the Head of Legal of the Bruker BioSpin Group with the following tasks:

  • Responsible for legal support of the Software Division of the BBIO Group (SciY) for all legal matters, with a focus on contracting, software licensing, software reselling or distribution and collaborations
  • Responsible for legal support of Corporate IT
  • Providing legal guidance on AI‑related business initiatives
  • Backup for other team members of the BBIO Legal Department for general legal matters
  • Responsible for managing legal disputes
  • Legal research
  • Preparation and execution of trainings
  • If required: Coordination with the legal departments of the other Groups (CALID / BNANO / BEST) and with BRKR
  • Instruction and supervision of external lawfirms
  • Coordination with Compliance / Privacy for cross‑functional topics
  • Contact person within the BBIO Legal Department for any questions related to software and licensing, including in‑licensing and procurement of software and services
Qualifikationen
  • Master degree in Law with admission to the bar in the EU
  • Minimum of 5 years post bar exam experience in a law firm or in‑house for a company in an international environment
  • Advanced experience with software licensing, sales and distribution
  • Advanced legal drafting skills, incl. experience with end user license agreements, SAAS contracts and general services agreements
  • Experience with using AI and LLMs; knowledge of the legal challenges related to it (desired/advantageous)
  • Familiarity with AI‑Act and similar AI related current or planned legislation (desired/advantageous)
  • Advanced knowledge of the Office 365 suite
  • Knowledge of public tender business (optional)
  • Fluent English Business Language Skills (at least C1)
  • Advanced German Language Skills (advantageous)
  • Independent working style with strong problem‑solving skills
  • Resilience and the ability to manage stressful situations
  • Strong communication skills and assertiveness
