For our Hamburg office, we are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel .

What will you do day-to-day?

• Independently drafting and review of various types of contracts, including but not limited to Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPA), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) agreements, Financing Agreements, Land Lease & Purchase Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and other project-related contracts.
• Leading contract negotiations with stakeholders such as suppliers, clients, partners, and regulatory bodies, ensuring terms and conditions are in the best interest of the company and comply with applicable regulations.
• Analysis of regulatory and permitting matters during the development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
• Corporate housekeeping of project companies (e.g. drafting of minutes, board resolutions, PoAs, change of directors).
• Steering and managing external legal counsel to ensure legal advice is aligned with business objectives and timelines. Acting as a liaison between external legal teams and internal business teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
• Identify potential legal risks associated with contracts, regulatory matters, and corporate governance. Propose risk mitigation strategies and solutions that align with business objectives.

What are we looking for?

• Qualified lawyer in Germany.
• A minimum of 6 years post-qualified experience in the energy and infrastructure sector, ideally with international exposure.
• Familiar with corporate and financing law.
• Fluent in German and English are mandatory; additional languages (e.g., Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) are a plus.
• Self-driven and proactive personality with strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Profound understanding of the commercial aspects of the energy and infrastructure sector as well as of complex structures.
