Overview

Senior Lead Engineer Plant Utility / HVAC (m / f / d)

We are seeking a Senior Lead Engineer Mechanical (m / f / d) for our Data Center Business Unit. This position is based in Frankfurt am Main. You will be responsible for planning and engineering for utilities and HVAC (wet / dry) systems, as well as building and leading a new team of Mechanical Engineers. Your role will also involve recruiting team members, setting goals, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Planning, project planning, calculation and installation execution planning of utilities and HVAC (wet / dry) systems
  • Preparation of detailed execution documents (e.g. drawings, functional descriptions, bill of quantities) for the procurement of installation and planning services and clarify any questions that arise during the execution phase
  • Building, Leading and developing a team of Mechanical Engineers
  • Adherence to budget, quality and deadline requirements within the assigned projects
  • Supporting project management in the preparation and, if necessary, updating of schedules
  • Coordination of subcontractors and assurance of the highest execution quality, as well as compliance with safety, health, and environmental protection requirement
  • Coordination and control of the interfaces of the individual trades
Show your expertise
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • Extensive years' experience in leading the design of major mechanical project or / and leading mechanical position of a fast-track project, preferably in the high technology or industrial sector
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of Engineering, Design and Construction for mechanical systems from Preliminary Design to Commissioning and Handover
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of project execution processes in a fast-track environment
  • Extensive local construction knowledge
  • Ability to mentor and motivate a team as well as experience in leadership positions within a technically challenging environment
  • Excellent English skills, German skills are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel to project sites within Central Europe (approximately 10 %)
