Position Description

As a (Senior) Global Packaging Engineer, you will join our team as a Strategic Packaging Expert, shaping innovative solutions and leading our global operations packaging portfolio. Your tasks will include:

1. Strategic Packaging Design: Lead the definition of future packaging requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry norms. Oversee all projects necessary to meet these goals.
2. Operations Alignment: Manage and evolve our standard packaging materials menu, collaborating and aligning within diverse, cross-functional teams, e.g., in unique requirement situations.
3. Industry Expertise: Objectively assess relevant packaging industry options, collaborate with our Prototyping Team, and stay ahead of market trends.
4. Sustainability & Regulatory Goals: Identify optimization projects. Develop and implement global plans to achieve packaging KPIs, necessary to adhere to future regulatory environments.
5. Data Management: Define the data to be collected by our systems for regulatory reporting.

Position Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who...

• Holds a university degree in Packaging Technology (or equivalent)
• Brings a minimum of 10 years of experience in developing packaging solutions
• Is experienced in developing (corrugated) cardboard boxes & plastic bottles
• Has experience in defining and assessing the suitability of shipment containers (ideally also with dry ice)
• Brings knowledge of dangerous goods shipment requirements
• Knows how to set up data systems (SAP-based) for tracking global packaging information
• Has knowledge of current & future regulatory environments
