Then come and join our global team as Senior Expert Digital Procurement Strategy (f / m / d), to take an active role in driving the digital transformation of Strategic Procurement in line with our corporate strategy. You will identify and evaluate innovative technologies, develop sustainable solutions for our tool landscape, process optimization, and AI applications, and successfully implement them.

Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• You will be responsible for developing a holistic digitalization strategy for Strategic Procurement and advising senior management on strategic decisions in the digital environment.
• You will identify relevant digital trends (e.g., AI, automation, advanced analytics) at an early stage, evaluate their potential for Strategic Procurement, and derive practical innovation roadmaps and solutions to increase efficiency and achieve growth targets.
• You will integrate existing solutions with leading IT and data innovations (e.g., SAP, Microsoft).
• You will lead and coordinate complex, high‑visibility strategic digitalization projects and ensure that all initiatives are consistently aligned with the business and strategic goals of Procurement.
• You will independently analyze and optimize existing procurement processes, implement AI‑supported applications for decision‑support, risk analysis, and automation, and design a future‑proof, integrated tool landscape.
• You will independently develop a sustainable data strategy, manage the entire lifecycle of solutions (rollout, adoption, continuous improvement), and communicate strategic issues to stakeholders at all levels.
• You will manage cross‑functional teams and external partners to implement digitalization initiatives on schedule.

Your qualifications and experience

• You have successfully completed a university degree in (business) information technology or a comparable field.
• You have many years of professional experience in the development and implementation of IT digitization strategies and IT platform management.
• You additionally have several years of experience in managing complex projects and change management.
• You have experience in process automation and the use of AI applications to optimize business processes.
• Ideally, you have a good understanding of purchasing processes and their strategic importance.
