About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic and growing engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost‑efficiency. This is a remote‑first role, but candidates must be living in Germany and possess at least B1‑level proficiency in German for internal communication and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability through architecture best practices and monitoring.
• Work closely with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD and containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Maintain and enforce cloud security policies, IAM configurations, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).
• Monitor infrastructure health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or cloud‑native solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and lead root cause analysis.
• Contribute to infrastructure documentation and internal knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in cloud engineering or DevOps roles.
• Proficient in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
