Within the iGaming industry, we are actively seeking a Senior Automation Quality Engineer who will be responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining the test automation strategy for the Intermediate Control System (ICS). The role focuses on backend, integration, and system-level validation, ensuring regression safety, performance readiness, and predictable system behavior in a regulatory context.

The Senior AQE works closely with development, data engineering, and DevOps teams to enable early validation, efficient defect detection, and stable UAT execution.

This is you

• Strong experience in backend test automation using Java, including work with test automation frameworks and a focus on maintainable, reusable test design;
• Experience testing REST and SOAP services;
• Strong SQL skills for database validation;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution;
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. Gatling, JMeter or similar);
• Understanding of distributed systems, retries, idempotency, and asynchronous processing;
• Experience with integration-heavy or data-centric systems;
• Understanding of regulatory or audit-driven systems is a strong advantage;
• Experience working in Agile delivery models;
• Ability to design automation with maintainability and long-term reuse in mind;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, risk-based testing mindset;
• Ability to work independently in a senior role, clearly communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This is your role

• Design and implement a test automation framework for backend and integration testing, aligned with the IC S architecture.
• Automate validation of core regulatory processing flows, including ingestion, conversion, batching, XML/XSD validation, and SAFE persistence.
• Develop and maintain regression automation suites covering stable, high-risk system paths.
• Implement automated checks for data integrity, idempotency, and state transitions.
• Support and execute performance and load testing, including preparation of load scripts and analysis of results.
• Participate in resilience testing, validating retry logic, recovery behavior, and backlog handling.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable execution and reporting.
• Collaborate with Hybrid QA and developers during defect analysis, root cause investigation, and retesting.
• Provide test evidence and reports to support UAT readiness and acceptance.
