The role
We're looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer (m / f / d) who combines deep technical expertise with a strategic mindset. In this role you will have full ownership to define standards and embed a modern data culture across the organization.
Your impact
Turn raw data into trusted insights that drive key business decisions and lay the foundation for scalable, future‑proof analytics.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain dbt-based transformation pipelines.
- Build robust, scalable, and well‑documented data models for BI tools and data products to improve business performance.
- Define and implement best practices for version control, testing, performance optimization and documentation.
- Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the lifecycle, including comprehensive test coverage. Collaborate with analysts and data users to make data easy to use, trustworthy and fast to access.
- Collaborate with Product, Finance, Engineering and Operations to translate business metrics into reliable, scalable data models.
- Align dbt transformations with our Snowflake‑based data platform in partnership with Engineering.
- Create dashboards and reports that turn models into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Champion data culture by embedding data‑driven thinking across the organization.
Tech Stack you will work with
- Transformation / Modeling: dbt (core or Cloud)
- Cloud Data Platform: Snowflake (currently in migration phase)
- BI / Consumption: Tableau (or similar)
- Version Control: Git
- Workflow & Orchestration: Airflow / Dagster / Prefect
- Programming: SQL (expert level), Python
- Testing & QA: dbt tests, Great Expectations or similar frameworks
What we are looking for
- At least 6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering or advanced BI development.
- Proven hands‑on experience with dbt in a production environment.
- Deep expertise in SQL and dimensional/semantic modeling (e.g., Kimball, DRY principles).
- Experience with Snowflake or another modern cloud data platform (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift).
- A track record of building clean, modular, reusable data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data testing, CI/CD, documentation and performance tuning.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable data models.
- Passion for building a modern data culture and driving data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.
- A builder mindset: excited to shape foundational data architecture in a growing environment and influence long‑term data strategy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non‑technical teams.
