A leading quick commerce company in Berlin is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to drive data foundation evolution. In this role, you'll own the end-to-end transformation layer and partner with various teams to solve complex data challenges. Responsibilities include leading the reporting landscape and implementing best practices. The ideal candidate has a deep expertise in SQL and modern data tools. This position offers attractive perks including a development budget, vacation days, and discounts on services.
Flink is the leading quick commerce player in Europe. We are on a mission to give people back time: You can order your groceries through our app and we deliver to your doorstep in minutes. We carry 3,000 products with a focus on the leading brands in each category. We aim for sustainability by making deliveries on electric bikes and utilizing recyclable packaging.
Flink launched in February 2021 and already operates in more than 90 cities in Germany, and the Netherlands. The business generated more than EUR 400m in revenues in 2022 and is operationally profitable. Flink is backed by the world’s most renowned tech investors, including Prosus, Mubadala, and Bond, and strategic investors like Doordash and REWE. We take great pride in being an inclusive employer that offers equal opportunities, and we celebrate the diversity and multiculturalism of our team. We're growing fast and always pushing ourselves to do better - we play for #1.
As a Senior Analytics Engineer (m/f/d), you will be a key driver in evolving Flink’s data foundations. Part of the Analytics Engineering team embedded within the Operations department, you won't just "build reports" - you will act as a strategic thought partner for Customer Care, Operations, Finance, and Revenue teams.
You will own the end-to-end transformation layer, solving our most complex data challenges by turning raw signals into a trusted, scalable source of truth. Your goal is to ensure our data layer remains high-quality, performant, and easy to extend as we continue to scale. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, owning the full lifecycle of your domain - from stakeholder relationships to the long-term evolution of the reporting landscape.
Architect & Scale: Own the development of our transformation layer (dbt) and downstream surfaces (Looker). You will identify technical debt and implement modern approaches to ensure our foundations remain performant and easy to extend.
Deep Stakeholder Partnership: Move beyond being an "executor of requests." You will work closely with business leaders to deeply understand their problems and proactively shape the data solutions they need.
End-to-End Domain Ownership: Lead and evolve a major portion of our reporting landscape. You will be responsible for the health, accuracy, and roadmap of the data models serving our core business functions.
Raise the Quality Bar: As a senior member of a growing team, you will champion engineering best practices: CI/CD, robust testing, and version control. You’ll lead by example, helping to mentor junior engineers and solidify our "trusted data" mission.
It is our commitment that every applicant will be evaluated according to their skills regardless of age, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability status, or religion.
