We are looking for a Senior AI / Backend Engineer to design and scale the core infrastructure behind our AI products. You will work on backend services, data pipelines, model integrations, and agentic systems used daily by growers and agronomists.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that support our AI platform
• Integrate LLMs and agentic frameworks into production workflows
• Develop retrieval, orchestration, and tool‑execution layers for AI agents
• Architect systems that are scalable, reliable, and performant
• Deploy and operate services on AWS (Docker, Lambda, ECS and related services)
• Collaborate with Product and Customer teams to deliver reliable, high‑impact features
• Contribute to technical design, code quality, and engineering best practices

Requirements

• Solid backend engineering experience (Python, REST APIs, databases)
• Hands‑on experience integrating LLMs or AI frameworks (LangGraph, LlamaIndex or similar)
• Experience building AI agents that interact with tools, APIs, or structured data
• Good understanding of RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and function/tool execution
• Proficiency with AWS services, containerization, and DevOps fundamentals
• Ability to design clean, scalable architectures and reason clearly about trade‑offs
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with data pipelines, event systems, or real‑time processing
• Familiarity with agricultural or industrial IoT data
• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and search systems
• Exposure to frontend frameworks or full‑stack environments
