Senior Accountant (limited 1 year) (Italy)

In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounting activities and ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with local regulations and corporate standards. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support the financial integrity and performance of the organization during a temporary replacement period.

What Your Day To Day Will Look Like

• Manage general ledger accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in line with corporate timelines.
• Ensure compliance with Italian GAAP, tax regulations, and internal accounting policies.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Support statutory reporting, including annual financial statements and coordination with external auditors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
• Monitor intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper documentation, archiving, and internal controls in line with corporate requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Controlling, Compliance, HR) and corporate Finance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational or structured environment.
• Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Solid experience in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and accounting tools.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Fluency in English and Italian (spoken and written).
