About The Role

The Hansen IT Security Engineer reports into the Head of Global IT Security and will proactively managing rulesets and configurations of security platforms, tune alerting and reporting of security event monitoring dashboards to optimize systems and ensure they are stable and current.

About You

- You are a skilled engineer who possesses the ability to coordinate security incident investigations in a fast‑paced environment and are always curious and motivated to deliver the best security outcomes.

- You get excited by developing engineering solutions to enterprise security challenges and have a highly respected knowledge of IT Security technologies (SIEM/XDR/Web Proxy/PAM) and bring 5+ years e xperience in an IT development or security engineering role.

- You bring an awareness of regulatory environment and requirements (e.g. GDPR) that also includes previous experience with scripting or coding languages and experience securing cloud‑based services (preferably hosted in AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud environments) combined with insight into vulnerability management and scanning tools will assist in this role.

- You have a strong understanding of techniques to configure and operate SIEM and threat‑hunting tooling, implementing security best practices and back that with a Security qualifications that may include GIAC Certifications, AWS, Azure, CEH, OSCP- You are able to work onsite at the Hansen Development center in Buenos Aires and bring excellent English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

- You will proactively managing rulesets and configurations of security platforms, tune alerting and reporting of security event monitoring dashboards to optimise systems and ensure they are stable and current.

- You engage with Hansen security architects and project managers to develop and maintain security processes and reporting that includes coordinating security incident response within the Americas time zones. Ensure efficient handoff between teams and time zones.

- You work with both in‑house security analysts and partner services to ensure timely detection and alerting of security events and perform ongoing monitoring of security platforms and critical alerts, actioning defined workflows to triage security alerts and incidents to prioritize investigations.

- You will record, document, and report security incidents and breaches while also contribute to ongoing improvements and uplift to Security Incident Management and Incident Response capability including re‑design of processes and procedures encompassing severity, triage and communication.

- You are responsible for the support the identification, evaluation and mitigation of risks to the organization related to regulatory requirements, compliance with corporate policy, and adherence to sound IT business practices, e.g. information security, project management and sourcing.
