About the Role

We are looking for a Senior SAP MDM / MDG Consultant with deep expertise in Material Master to join a major SAP S / 4HANA migration program within the Life Sciences sector.

This is a high-impact role supporting data governance, master data design, and migration activities for a multi-year digital transformation.

You will work closely with functional, technical, and business teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and high-quality master data throughout the migration journey.

Location : Hybrid model - 3 days in Frankfurt

Contract : Long-term contract (no benefits, medical, PTO...)

Duration : 2-year assignment

Project Type : Large-scale SAP Migration (S / 4HANA)

Language : Fluent German and English

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP MDM / MDG (Material Master) processes within a large SAP S / 4HANA migration program.
• Define, validate, and optimize Material Master data models, governance rules, and workflows.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather requirements, map data structures, and ensure alignment with global master data standards.
• Support end-to-end data migration activities, including extraction, cleansing, harmonization, validation, and load preparation.
• Work with internal data migration tools (training provided) to manage transformation and load processes efficiently.
• Ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness throughout the migration effort.
• Facilitate workshops, produce documentation, and support change management initiatives related to data governance.
• Provide expert guidance on data-related dependencies between Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality, and other functional areas.
• Partner with program leadership to identify risks, resolve data quality issues, and maintain a stable master data environment during transition.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an SAP MDM / MDG functional consultant, with strong focus on Material Master.
• Hands‑on S / 4HANA migration experience, ideally in global or complex environments.
• Proven expertise in data migration (any framework or toolset; training for internal tools will be provided).
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, workflows, validation rules, and master data architecture.
• Experience in the Life Sciences sector is a strong plus (GxP, regulatory compliance, serialization, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills in German and English (spoken and written).
