Major Talent is partnered with a leading dairy cooperative based in Germany with a strong global presence. We are recruiting for the food ingredients business unit and looking to speak with sales managers based in Germany

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience with dairy ingredients in the infant nutrition market within Europe.

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for organising, planning and executing sales initiatives for industrial, commercial and contract manufacturing clients with a view to maximising volumes and profitability to achieve annual budget targets.

Responsibilities of a Sales Manager
  • Area of responsibility: Western Europe with a focus on Benelux, Scandinavia and the UK
  • Helping to shape strategic sales policy
  • Creating sales and revenue plans
  • Providing intensive support and expanding the customer base
  • Developing new markets and customers
  • Forwarding order- or customer-related processing steps for further processing in the Sales Support Ingredients department and other related specialist departments
  • Preparing and tracking quotations until completion
  • Coordinating quantity and pricing policy with the Head of Sales
  • optimisation of your own customer portfolio
  • Implementing the sales strategy and expanding the market position
  • Conducting market and competition analyses in cooperation with Product Management
  • Participating in trade fairs
  • Monitoring the competition and market for new products and trends in cooperation with Product Management
  • Project work and project responsibility for assigned projects
Skills Required to be a Sales Manager
  • Experience in the Western European market
  • Knowledge of dairy and dairy ingredients with whey protein being of particular interest
  • Previous experience working in a Multinational business
  • Foreign language skills – business fluent English, another foreign language desirable
  • Enjoy working with customers
  • Willingness to travel
