Rota Nanny, 2 weeks on / off (Germany + Travel)

Munich, Germany + Travel | Posted 1 days ago

Job Title: Rota Nanny (Norland or equivalent)

Location: Munich, Germany (with travel)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: Depending on experience (please advise salary expectations)

Hours: Rota position, two weeks on/two weeks off

Driver: Essential (Confident in UK + EU)

Job Overview: A lovely family in Munich are seeking an experienced and energetic Norland Nanny (or equivalent training) to care for four children: B2, B4, G7 and G8. The children are happy, healthy, and in a good routine. This is a team-based role within a fully staffed household with a chef, housekeeper & security team. The nanny will not be expected to have sole care of all four children at once. When the older children are at school or nursery, most of the nanny’s time will be spent with the youngest child. Longevity is important to the family, one of their nannies (a Norlander) had been with them for 4 years left recently as wanted to be back in the UK and the other nanny (also a Norlander) has been with them for just under 2 years (since they started a rota system) and she is leaving to go on maternity leave. The nannies would be very happy to speak to any interested candidates.

About the family:

  • The eldest child (G8 y-o) loves horse riding and spends much of her time at the stables. She is very independent, organised and is very caring towards her younger siblings.
  • The 6 y-o (G) enjoys lots of after-school activities and loves to be outdoors.
  • The 4 y-o (B) loves any type of sport and being active.
  • The youngest child, B nearly 2 y-o, just loves to be with his big brother and sisters, being part of their sibling gang!
  • The family enjoys travelling in most school holidays both in Europe and further afield. In the winter the family like to ski as they are located close to the mountains. The nanny does not need to be a skier but needs to be happy to be in the Alps over the winter period.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive, structured, and nurturing care for the children, focusing on developmental milestones.
  • Carry out full nursery duties, including organising children’s clothing, toys, and bedrooms.
  • Plan and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
  • Support school and nursery routines, including drop-offs and pick-ups.
  • Work flexibly during the summer months when the family travels, covering alongside the other rota nanny.
  • Confidently drive the children within Europe as required.

Ideal Nanny:

  • Norland-trained or equivalent professional childcare qualification.
  • Previous rota nanny experience within UHNW
  • Experience in fully staffed households.
  • Highly organised, proactive, sporty, and enjoys the outdoors.
  • A strong team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
  • Holds an EU passport (preferred) or right to work in the EU.
  • Confident driver willing to drive in Europe is essential.

Perks of the Role:

  • Competitive salary package.
  • Private accommodation within the main house (bedroom and en suite).
  • Opportunity for long-term stability within a warm and welcoming family.
  • Travel opportunities during school holidays.
  • The family may be able to sponsor EU work permits/visa for the perfect Norland-trained applicant.

There are 2 dogs, but these would not be the responsibility of the nanny.
