Jobbeschreibung

Join to apply for the Robotics Vision & Perception Engineer (m/f/d) role at Agile Robots SE.

The AI Research Division of Agile Robots is looking for a Robotics Vision & Perception Engineer to design, implement, and validate industrial‑grade 2D/3D vision systems for robotic applications. The role focuses on multi‑camera and multi‑modal perception under real‑world constraints such as calibration accuracy, latency, lighting variability, and robustness in production environments.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop industrial multi‑modal perception systems combining 2D/3D vision, classical image processing, and learning‑based methods for robotic applications.
  • Design, integrate, and evaluate multi‑camera and high‑speed vision setups, including synchronization, calibration strategies, and performance trade‑offs.
  • Validate and demonstrate perception system performance in complex robotic scenarios, considering accuracy, latency, robustness, and failure modes.
  • Work closely with robotics, control, and software teams to integrate perception systems into end‑to‑end robotic solutions.
  • Translate functional and technical requirements into perception system architectures, interfaces, and implementation concepts.
  • Support on‑site deployment, validation, and feedback collection at customer locations, with travel depending on project phase.
Essential Skills
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, AI, or a related field.
  • Experience designing and implementing industrial vision or robotic perception systems.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ for Linux and Windows environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with vision libraries such as OpenCV in prototype or production systems.
  • Practical mindset for working with evolving hardware–software prototypes under real‑world constraints.
  • Strong analytical problem‑solving skills and clear technical communication in English.
Beneficial Skills
  • Experience with camera, lens, and lighting setup and calibration for robotic systems.
  • Exposure to embedded or edge perception platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson or heterogeneous processing systems (GPU / FPGA).
  • Experience integrating learning‑based vision components (e.g., object detection or segmentation) using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorRT, or similar.
  • Familiarity with vision system simulation or validation tools (e.g., Blender, NVIDIA robotics or digital factory simulations).
  • Experience with Python and/or C# in robotics or perception contexts.
  • Familiarity with applied ML/DL libraries and deployment toolchains used in industrial vision systems.
What we Offer
  • A dynamic high‑tech company combined with financial soundness and world‑class investors.
  • Join an interdisciplinary, international team with 60+ different nationalities in a collaborative work environment.
  • Lots of development opportunities in the context of our continued growth.
  • Challenging tasks and impactful projects alongside experts that enable professional and personal growth.
  • Corporate Benefits Program that covers health, mobility, and learning with 100€ net per month.
  • Modern office facilities with a rooftop terrace overlooking Munich, free drinks & fruits, and regular company events contribute to a good working environment.
