An academic faculty in Düsseldorf is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in plant genomics to develop computational tools for high-throughput sequencing data analysis. The Institute of Crop Biology, led by Prof. Korbinian Schneeberger, invites applications for a postdoctoral position in plant genomics. The position is initially limited to three years, with the possibility of extension in accordance with the Act on Fixed-Term Contracts in Higher Education (Wissenschaftsvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). This is a qualification position intended to support the scientific development of the employee.
The “Genome Plasticity and Computational Genetics” group, headed by Prof. Schneeberger, is internationally recognized for research in plant genomics, with a focus on developing computational and biotechnological methods for genome sequence analysis. Current projects involve genetic experiments and the development of computational approaches for the analysis of multidimensional genome data to study the temporal dynamics of plant genomes.
