A leading research institution in Hamburg is seeking a Research Associate for a project on advanced imaging of matter. The role involves investigating electronic systems under strain gradients and conducting x-ray diffraction experiments on micro-structured samples. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, a PhD or equivalent experience, and strong skills in handling sensitive samples and visualizing XRD data. Remuneration is reliable and includes 30 vacation days annually.

Scope of workfull-time position suitable for part-time
Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.
Investigation of bent correlated electronic systems at room temperature to determine their crystal structure under strain gradients, and at low temperature to study electronic correlations induced by strain gradients.
Carry out experiments of x-ray diffraction on micro-structured samples at user facilities. Implement static and dynamic bending techniques at selected beam line end stations.
A university degree in a relevant field.
