Project Manager (m / w / d) in the Aviation Industry
Your tasks
- Project management for certified aerospace projects, especially for avionics and electromechanical actuators
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including milestones, resource allocation, risk management, and timelines for systems, items, and mechanical parts development
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, suppliers, and certification bodies, to ensure project objectives are aligned
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders and in compliance with ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-254 and DO-178C standards
- Identify and manage project risks related to safety, certification, technology, and resource constraints
- Lead formal technical reviews, including design reviews, test reviews, and verification and validation reviews, to ensure compliance and readiness for certification
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team, including engineers, quality assurance, and certification specialists, to deliver on project objectives
- Prepare regular status reports, including progress against milestones, risk updates, and certification progress, to stakeholders and senior management
Your profile
- Completed studies in Business Administration, Business Engineering or similar; commercial training with further training as a business administrator / business economist with professional experience
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in aerospace companies, certified as per Part 21 or EN / AS 9100
- Strong knowledge and experience working with aerospace development processes (ARP4754, ARP4761, RTCA DO-254 / 178C)
- Willingness to work in an agile environment handling multidisciplinary tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel
