Principal Product Designer | Hybrid, Germany

I am partnering with a leading European tech company valued at €2.9B that is hiring a Principal Product Designer.

You will own end-to-end design across multi-platform user journeys, shaping high-impact experiences used across European markets. This role requires strong craft, strategic thinking and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in high-visibility environments.

The design team works with an open-source UI component library built on atoms, molecules and organisms, with design tokens and a React and TypeScript front-end that supports efficient design to code workflows.

You will:

• Lead UX strategy and execution for complex, data-rich B2B flows on desktop and mobile
• Translate insights into scalable components and interaction patterns in Figma
• Partner with research to run studies, validate hypotheses and refine behaviour
• Drive design quality through structured systems, tokens, visual hierarchy and responsive rules
• Influence directors and senior stakeholders, navigate challenging conversations and anchor decisions in metrics, OKRs and measurable outcomes
• Mentor senior and mid-level designers and raise overall craft
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure high-quality implementation and system alignment

You should bring:

• Proven experience operating at principal level or equivalent senior design leadership
• Exceptional visual and interaction craft with a portfolio that demonstrates strong hierarchy, clarity and high fidelity
• Strong record of stakeholder management with concrete examples of negotiation, pushback and decision framing
• Ability to show business impact with clear metrics, outcomes and trade-offsExperience in design systems or large-scale UI architecture
• Fluency in Figma, component libraries and modern design standards
