Offer Description

The RISC Group headed byJane Im is hiring a postdoc to work on consent mechanisms for AI & machine unlearning,especially for non-commercial artists (i.e., artists that create artwork independently; this is possible if artists apply for grants and fellowships, for instance).

The postdoc will lead a project that would require understanding artists’ perspectives using HCI methods and also developing prototypes of AI systems.

What this role would entail:

• Understanding non-commercial artists’ perspectives on generative AI by conducting both qualitative and quantitative studies
• Developing and evaluating prototypes for helping non-commercial artists understand machine unlearning and data attribution
• Writing and submitting publications to top-tier HCI or Security/Privacy conferences
