We're seeking an Office Manager and Team Assistant for our Mannheim office to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods. This would be a two-year fixed-term position as parental leave replacement (Elternzeitvertretung). Given great job performance, we are open to offering a permanent position at the end of the two-year contract.

Schrödinger is transforming the way therapeutics and materials are discovered. We've pioneered a digital chemistry platform that enables discovery of high-quality, novel molecules more rapidly and at lower cost compared to traditional methods. The platform combines the power of physics-based molecular simulation with machine learning and team-based collaborative informatics. It is used by biopharmaceutical and industrial companies, academic institutions, and government laboratories around the world.

What you'll do
  • Provide administrative support to the Schrödinger team in Europe
  • Oversee the Mannheim office, with responsibilities including, but not limited to, greeting visitors, ordering office supplies, coordinating office maintenance work, and organizing office events and meetings
  • Assist with travel management and coordination of business trips
  • Help with the organization of customer events
  • Coordinate the inventory of marketing materials and the shipment of materials to conferences and customers
  • Review credit card receipts,prepare reports and weekly payment runs
  • Support the HR team operationally (onboarding and benefits)
  • Assist with hiring process and schedule job interviews
What you should have
  • Excellent command of English and fluency in German
  • Vocational training in a related field (e.g., Kaufmann/-frau für Büromanagement) or a business degree
  • At least two years' experience in office management, team assistance, or a similar role
  • Experience with accounting Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus
