Overview

Fisher Phillips, one of the oldest and largest labor and employment law firms representing management, has an opportunity for employment attorneys with over seven years of experience to join our team as Special Counsel in our Virtual Office.

Responsibilities
  • Handle administrative charges, attorney demand letters, and employment litigation for a variety of firm clients, including those with Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI).
  • Supervise others, including developing case strategies, drafting and reviewing work product, conducting depositions, and representing clients at hearings, conferences, and trials.
  • Travel may be required (mostly local).
  • Primary focus on administrative charges, demand letters, and single-plaintiff litigation, with potential involvement in class actions and PAGA cases, as well as other labor and employment law matters.
  • Collaborate with partners and a team of attorneys, benefiting from the support of paralegals and a shared secretarial pool within our Virtual Office.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in handling employment law matters and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • More than seven years of experience in employment law and litigation.
  • Active bar membership in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience practicing in a law firm.
  • Experience with matters covered by EPLI.
  • Bar admission in California.
