Position Overview/Duties: This job opportunity is open to CURRENT, PERMANENT USACE EMPLOYEES ONLY. This opportunity is being announced through the USACE Voluntary Internal Opportunities Program (VIOP).

This is a JOBtoberfest announcement for Reassignment to an internal position in the North Atlantic Division, Europe District, Construction Division.

Anticipated Start Date: This assignment will begin on/about pay periods beginning in the 2nd Quarter of FY26.

Overseas Duty Location: Europe District Headquarters located in Wiesbaden, Germany at McCully Barracks, Germany or ROBMCR Area Office, located near Ramstein, Germany (location will be determined during the selection process).

Position Summary: Serves as the Management Assistant working under the supervision of the Area Engineer. Performs a wide variety of essential management and administrative support functions.

Major Duties And Responsibilities: This is a tremendous opportunity for a knowledgeable management assistant to be involved in large-scale construction projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Europe District, located at several offices across the Area Of Responsibility.

  • Prepares Requests for Personnel Actions, Travel Orders, Training Requests, Purchase Requests and Commitments and determines appropriate fund cite for Division and Branch personnel using the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS).
  • Prepares a variety of computerized and/or written reports, receiving initial reporting requirements and guidelines.
  • Is delegated continuing responsibility for exercising sound independent judgment in planning, organizing, and coordinating administrative activities and in devising and implementing methods necessary to correct deficiencies, resolve problems, and improved procedures.
  • Analyzes and evaluates requirements and problems generated through mission changes or reorganizations.
  • Prepares Section Personnel Actions for approval by branch chiefs. Prepares documents for conferences, presentations, seminars, meetings, etc., for use by division or branch chiefs or technical staff personnel.

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of the 26 JUL 12 DODI 1400.25 V1230, DoD Civilian Personnel Management System: Employment in Foreign Areas and Employee Return Rights.
  • You must complete and sign DD Form 2365, FEB.
  • This position may be eligible for situational telework.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
