Zusammenfassung

A defence technology company in Munich is looking for a Systems Engineer to coordinate engineering activities throughout the lifecycle of unmanned systems. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and strong communication skills. The role includes assisting with system integration, requirements definition, and documentation. Your mission

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities throughout the whole lifecycle of our technologies – from initial customer requirements to end‑of‑life disposal. You will work across engineering disciplines to design, test and build top‑of‑the‑line solutions to some of the largest challenges facing the defence sector.

In addition to academic and industrial experience in any technical field (non‑engineers are welcome), candidates should also possess excellent communication skills, and an aptitude for turning complex challenges into direct, actionable solutions.

Responsibilities
  • System support: Assist in the integration of hardware, software and sensors into existing and new uncrewed aerial systems.
  • Requirements analysis: Assist in the definition and documentation of system requirements.
  • Testing and Validation: Assist in performing system testing and troubleshooting to ensure system performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, including test protocols and design specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the hardware, software, electronics and production teams to assist with system integration.
Qualifications
  • Degree (Bachelor) in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field (or comparable practical experience).
  • Qualifications in other technical fields and disciplines outside of engineering will be strongly considered, if they demonstrate skills detailed above.
  • Project or operations management; business development; events management.
  • Industry certifications or qualifications in Systems Engineering (e.g. from INCOSE) are a plus. Initial experience in system integration and working with communication protocols (e.g. CAN, Ethernet) is an advantage.
  • Strong articulation skills in English (at least CEFR B2) and ideally in German.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills are a must, as is a motivation and willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic, innovation‑driven environment.
  • Experience in at least one of the following technical skillsets: 3D CAD; CFD/FEA or similar simulation techniques; Systems modelling and analysis in MATLAB/Simulink/SysML or similar.
  • Code development in object‑oriented languages (e.g. C, Python, Java, Javascript); Flight or similar vehicle testing.
  • Experience in at least one of the following non‑technical skillsets: Project or operations management; business development, events management.
