I am hiring a Junior SOC Analyst on behalf of an industry leading cyber security solution company specialising in providing innovative solutions and services across diverse sectors. In this role you will be responsible for:
• Contribute to the setup and ongoing enhancement of the Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Investigate security incidents and implement effective countermeasures.
• Utilize SOC tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and incident response solutions.
• Perform threat hunting by analysing and assessing security events on central platforms.
• Document incidents thoroughly in ticketing and SIEM systems, and generate detailed reports.
• Monitor systems for attacks or unusual behaviour and take appropriate action.
• Run automated vulnerability scans, interpret results, and report findings to clients.

This role is hybrid in Schleswig-Holstein.

Essential:
• At least one year professional experience working in a SOC or similar role (working student is fine)
• Experience working with EDR/XDR
• Strong knowledge of IT networks and Operating Systems
• Basic knowledge of offensive security concepts
• Experience with programming languages e.g. Python, SQL
• Minimum C1 level German or above with a good knowledge of English

Desirable:
• Experience working with Sophos
• Incident response experience
• Experience with malware analysis
