Junior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

An engineering consultancy operating within the Life Sciences and Biopharmaceutical sector is seeking a highly motivated HVAC Engineer to join its project delivery team. The role focuses on the planning and engineering of technically complex projects, acting as a key interface between clients, internal project teams, and external contractors. You will be the primary point of contact for all HVAC-related matters across assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and design of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, with a focus on pharmaceutical and life sciences projects
  • Ensuring compliance with international standards, industry norms, GMP regulations, and other regulatory requirements
  • Preparation of planning and design documentation; participation in 3D model coordination and design reviews
  • Cost estimation, budget control, and execution of price comparisons
  • Supporting procurement activities, including supplier and contractor negotiations
  • Coordination of external partners and consultants
  • Monitoring and managing schedules, costs, and quality throughout the construction and delivery phases
Candidate Profile
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant experience in HVAC system planning within a project-based environment
  • Desirable: Experience with cleanroom technology for pharmaceutical or regulated environments
  • Strong knowledge of applicable engineering standards and regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CAD tools, and relevant engineering calculation software
  • Structured, solution-oriented approach with strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English; additional European language skills advantageous
  • Flexibility and willingness to attend site when required for specific project phases
