Qualifikationen

• Basiert in Leipzig.
• Mindestens ein Jahr bis zum Abschluss.
• Erfahrung im Bereich Venture Capital oder Unternehmensgründung von Vorteil.

Aufgaben

• Aktiv Startups in verschiedenen Sektoren identifizieren und finden.
• Startups analysieren und bewerten im Rahmen unseres Investitionsprozesses.
• Mit Gründern interagieren, um mehr über ihre Startups zu erfahren.
• An Pitch-Events und Konferenzen teilnehmen, um vielversprechende Chancen zu finden.
• Unsere Startup-Datenbanken aktuell und gut organisiert halten.
• Forschungsprojekte im Zusammenhang mit Venture Capital und Branchentrends durchführen.
• Allgemeine Unterstützung für unser Gründerteam im Tagesgeschäft bieten.

We’re looking for a motivated and passionate student (m/f/d) to support our founding team in Leipzig. If you’re interested in venture capital, startups, and entrepreneurship, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience. The position is available immediately for 10–20 hours per week.

Who we are — SIVentures is a young, dynamic venture capital fund with an office in the heart of Leipzig's city centre. We focus on early-stage B2B software startups and typically invest from €300k upwards in sectors such as energy, IT infrastructure, AI applications, etc.

Our founding team of three brings extensive international expertise in finance, entrepreneurship, innovation, and venture capital. Beyond capital, we provide startups with access to mentoring, technology and our international network of successful founders, industry leaders, and top investors.

What to expect

As SIVentures is a startup itself, you can look forward to a flexible, entrepreneurial environment with plenty of room to take ownership. Structures are still developing, so you’ll need to bring a proactive, hands-on mentality and the drive to work independently.

Aufgaben

• Actively identify and source startups across various sectors
• Analyze and evaluate startups as part of our investment process
• Engage with founders to learn more about their startups, traction, and fundraising activities
• Participate in pitch events and conferences to spot promising opportunities
• Keep our startup databases up to date and well organized
• Conduct research projects related to venture capital and industry trends
• Provide general support to our founding team in day-to-day operations

Qualifikation

• You are based in Leipzig (please only apply if you currently live here)
• You still have at least one year left until graduation (ideally pursuing a Master’s degree)
• A true hands-on mentality and proactive approach
• A reliable self-starter who takes initiative
• Strong commitment and motivation
• Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written
• Previous experience in venture capital or entrepreneurship (through studies or internships) is a plus
