Your role
  • Provide legal advice across the Schindler organization on technology, data and privacy matters in day‑to‑day operations
  • Advise on projects for the implementation of new regulations in the areas of IT, data and cybersecurity at Schindler within the EU/EEA (e.g., NIS 2, AI Act, Data Act, Cyber Resilience Act) and globally, including ongoing post‑implementation legal guidance
  • Draft and negotiate global sourcing contracts in the areas of IT and digital
  • Provide legal advice on the development and marketing of new digital products and services
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Schindler’s programs on compliance with privacy, data, cybersecurity and IT regulations and related governance processes
  • Develop and publish guidelines and training materials addressing various legal aspects in the areas of technology, data and privacy
  • Occasionally also provide legal advice on contracts with customers and related fields
What makes you special
  • Law degree and admission to the Bar in Germany or another EU/EEA country; postgraduate studies (e.g., LL.M.) or work experience abroad is an advantage
  • Several years of professional experience, preferably in a law firm or as an in‑house counsel in an industrial environment
  • Demonstrated legal know‑how in the areas of IT contracting, digitalisation, cybersecurity, AI and data privacy
  • Excellent German and English language skills; every other language is an advantage
  • Passion for and curiosity about technology and its intersection with data and business
  • Interest in and/or affinity to the machine‑manufacturing industry
  • Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and team‑player mentality
  • Excellent communication and people skills, including the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across different geographies and organisational levels
  • Project management skills, including the ability to flag risks and propose mitigation actions
