As a J920 Supervisor you will coordinate, guide, and support the on-site Field Service team to achieve operational targets, deliver high-quality services, and continuously improve processes. Using your technical expertise and leadership skills, you will play a key role in maintaining performance standards, promoting safety, and fostering a culture of collaboration and development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of Field Service teams, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to high-quality standards.
- Monitor performance and provide technical guidance, mentoring, and hands‑on support to enhance team skills and effectiveness.
- Manage operational resources on site, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and inventory control, to ensure optimal workflow and timely delivery.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe and responsible working environment.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to align on site activities with overall service and business objectives.
- Maintain and update asset and data management systems.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of maintenance or repair planning and related processes through close communication with stakeholders.
- Support relevant stakeholders across the Area in maintenance and repair management matters.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to make the most effective use of team resources and meet operational goals.
- Develop and improve on site repair and maintenance routines and train Field Techs on maintenance procedures, standards, and documentation systems.
- Monitor equipment condition and ensure tools, materials, and parts are properly maintained and available.
- Coach and mentor maintenance staff, supporting them in diagnosing and resolving complex engine or equipment issues
Qualifications
- Proven technical knowledge and hands‑on experience in the use and maintenance of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
- Experience in conducting inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of equipment possible on Jenbacher or J920 engines.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, manuals, and drawings related to pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience working with asset management or maintenance planning systems.
- Basic knowledge of welding and machining activities.
- Familiarity with special hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical tools.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fluency in German or English, or both, written and spoken.
- Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to perform overtime or weekend work when needed.
- Willingness to travel or drive abroad to support logistics and on‑site service operations.
- Valid driving license B, BE or C/CE license is considered an advantage.
